Thomas C. Kase, born Feb. 26, 1936, died peacefully at his home on Nov. 12, 2017.
He was the son of the late Paul F. and Celia (Levan) Kase.
He is survived by his wife, Mae Kase, with whom he would have celebrated 62 years of marriage on Nov. 26. He is also survived by three children, Karen L. Kase, of Sterling, Mass., Kevin P. Kase, of Bowie, Md., and Kathy L. Herr, of Wellsboro, Pa.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Judith A. Wertman, Danville, Pa.
He lived most of his life on his family farm in Kaseville, Pa., and became a full-time resident of Bradenton, Fla., in 2004.
He retired from TRW/Textron after 34 years and was a Valley Township supervisor for six years. He was a member of the Danville Lodge 224 F&AM;, Caldwell Consistory Valley of Bloomsburg, the NRA and Straub's (St. Paul's) Lutheran Church of Danville. He had a great fondness for country music. He shared his talent for singing and playing the guitar having performed in many country bands over his lifetime.
There will be a private family celebration of life at the Anna Maria Oyster Bar in Bradenton. He will be buried at Straub's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
