Thomas H. Erdley Thomas H. Erdley, 92, of Port Trevorton, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.

He was born July 18, 1926, in Selinsgrove, a son of the late Thomas and Miriam (Leitner) Erdley. He was married to the former Mae Ewig who preceded him in death in 2007.

Tom attended Mifflinburg High School and in his senior year enlisted into the Army. He served in the military for more than 30 years, first in the Army and later in the Air Force. He served during World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Tom retired from the military in 1974.

He later worked on his cousin Sandra and husband Lee Shaffer's farm and provided transportation for his Mennonite neighbors.

Tom was of the Christian faith.

He was a member of the New Berlin American Legion Post and Kratzerville, Port Trevorton and DH&L fire companies. He enjoyed fishing, and going RV camping with his wife. The couple traveled over the entire continental United States.

Tom enjoyed driving any motorized vehicle.

He is survived by a brother-in-law, Dale Bell and his wife Alice; and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Ewig; cousins, Arlene Briner, Eugene Leitner, Sandra Shaffer, John Ritter, Thomas Clark, Elaine Krohn, Samuel Leitner, and Linda Maize; and nephews and nieces, Dale Bell Jr., Karen Bell Yohn, Ray Drumheller, Richard Foster, Steve Hinish, Beverly Kistler, Linda Hafer, and Carol.

Friends and family will be received from 10-11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12 at V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11 with Pastor Kurt Brown officiating, assisted by Lee A. Shaffer II.

Burial with military honors by American Legion Post 25 and VFW Post 6631 will be in Erdley's Church Cemetery, Middleburg.

Contributions to honor Tom's memory may be made to Erdley's Church Cemetery Association, 650 E. Hollow Road, Middleburg, PA 17842.
