Thelma C. Herman, 90, of Herman Road, Selinsgrove, passed away on Sunday morning, Nov. 19, 2017, at her home.
She was born Nov. 27, 1926, in Penn Township, Snyder County, a daughter of the late James and Lillian (Knouse) Kratzer. She was married for more than 60 years to Eugene G. Herman who preceded her in death in 2004.
For more than 50 years Thelma assisted her husband in operating the family farm.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Kratzerville.
Thelma loved her cats and when on the farm, milking the cows.
She is survived by one son and two daughters-in-law, Larry J. and Barb Herman, and Phyllis Herman, all of Selinsgrove; six grandchildren and their spouses, Alfred Jr. and Bess Herman, Tina Herman, Brenda Bowers and her companion, Veris Boyer, Tracy and Mike Kerstetter, Terry and Kelly Herman and Crystal and William Walls; 15 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Alfred E. Herman Sr.; two brothers, Frank and Raymond Kratzer; and two sisters, Ida Foreman and Dorothy Kline.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 2, with the Rev. Rick White officiating.
Burial will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
