Tarissa N. Treaster, 23, of Mount Pleasant Mills, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was known as "Sissy" by family and friends.
She was born Sept. 14, 1994, in Danville, a daughter of Rickey J. and Lisa M. (Hoke) Treaster, of Buckwheat Valley Road, Mount Pleasant Mills.
Tarissa was a graduate of Midd-West High School, Middleburg, and had taken some college study courses.
She was employed since May of 2017 at Wood-Metal, Selinsgrove, where she was a cabinet maker.
She was a member of Richfield Life Ministries Church, where she was involved in the AWANA program, and had assisted in the children's Sunday school. She always placed God and family first in her life.
Tarissa enjoyed the company of her many friends, and outdoor activities that included camping, fishing, and volleyball.
In addition to her parents, surviving are four brothers, Malachi, Micah, Gavin, and Thane, and one sister, Analeena, all at home; maternal grandparents, Jeffrey and Trudy Hoke, of Mifflintown; great-grandma, Claire Hoke, of McVeytown; uncle, Mickey I and Staci Treaster, of Mount Pleasant Mills; cousin, Mickey II and Patricia Treaster, of Mount Pleasant Mills, and their two daughters, Catherine and Scarlett; cousin, Mitch Carter, of McClure; uncle, Joseph Hoke and his companion, Deborah Pecht, and his daughter, Kayla Hoke, of Mifflintown.
Tarissa was preceded by her paternal grandparents, Joseph and Ada Treaster; maternal great-grandfather, Walter "Pete" Hoke; and an uncle, Michael Hoke.
There will be no viewing. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, followed by the funeral at 11, at the Family Life Center of the Richfield Ministries Church, with Pastor Aaron Benner officiating and Pastor Joel Snyder assisting.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Tarissa's memory may be made to the Global Outreach, 167 Church St., Richfield, PA 17086.
The George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, has assisted the family with these arrangements.
