Susan Kay (Fritz) Mull, 61, of Selinsgrove, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, after a long and courageous battle against cancer.
As many know, Susan fought hard, beat the odds, and survived much longer than expected. During those extra years she was able to witness her grandsons' graduations, the birth of her only (and much anticipated) granddaughter Delaney, and the birth of her great-granddaughter Riley.
Susan was born Jan. 23, 1956, in Sunbury, to the late Warren H. and Catherine A. (Dunn) Fritz.
She was baptized and confirmed Catholic and before her passing told her family she wanted a Catholic funeral service in an attempt to "get people to attend church." For many years she enjoyed singing in and listening to the adult choir at St. Pius. While her children were little she was a stay at home mom, devoting her time to them. After they were old enough to go to school she decided to work part time, which included Hickory Farms, the Selinsgrove School District Cafeteria, and the Pepper Tree.
Susan loved spending time planting flowers, her animals, hummingbirds, the beach, cooking shows, watching Hallmark movies (because they always had a happy ending she once said), and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband and high school sweetheart, Steven A. Mull; daughter, Cynthia J. Scholl and her husband Eric; son, Jason E. Mull and his wife Jennifer; brother, William H. Fritz and his children, Haley A. Fritz and Casey Fritz; grandsons, Jordan T. Scholl and his fiancé Allisanne Sharp, and their daughter Riley, Joshua E. Scholl, and Landon R.A. Mull; and granddaughter, Delaney K. Mull.
A viewing will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Selinsgrove, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11, with the Rev. Tukura Pius Michael O.P., as celebrant.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Freeburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Pius X Church, Selinsgrove, The American Cancer Society, or any pet shelter of your choice.
Arrangements are by the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove.
