Steven's Story

Steven R. "Steve" "Inchy" Inch, 61, of Freeburg, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at his home. He was the husband of Jill (Moyer) Inch to whom he was married for 14 years.

He was born March 8, 1955, in Sunbury, a son of Vivian M. (Campbell) Inch, of Selinsgrove and the late Gerald E. Inch.

Steven was a 1973 graduate of Selinsgrove High School and SUN Area Vo-Tech.

He loved working as a service technician for Moyers Gas Service. He retired after 27 years of employment. He formerly owned Inch's Garage in Freeburg, and was a mechanic for Truckworld, Selinsgrove, Branch Trucking, Milton and Montgomery Ward, Sunbury.

He was a life member of the Freeburg Fire Company and served on Freeburg Borough Council. He also held memberships with the Roosters Corner Sportsman's Club and DH&L Ambulance Company.

Steven enjoyed cooking, canning, jig saw puzzles, and flowers. Steven especially loved Lionel trains.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Brenda and Philip Klokis, of Purcellville, Va., Bonnie and David Lowe, of Liverpool, and Connie Kline and her fiance, David Trissler, of Middleburg; four nieces, Kirsten Klokis, Kara Klokis, Kylie Klokis and Danielle Sugden and her husband, Jason; two great-nephews, Aaden and Jarek Sugden; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Judy and Larry Kissinger, of Richfield and Jan and Scott Klinger, of Middleburg; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Philip and Barbara Moyer, of Freeburg; and nieces and nephews, Ryan Kissinger and his wife, Lindsey, Raena Rood and her husband, Scott, Adam Moyer, and Misty James and her husband, Christopher; great-nieces and nephews, Benjamin Rood, Sam Rood, and George Rood, Kylie Kissinger, Lucy James, and Moyer James. Early in his life Steve was instrumental in raising three stepchildren, Sandy, Aaron, and Selina.

Steven was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harry C. and Sarah (Conrad) Campbell; and his paternal grandparents, G. Leon and Sara S. (Kuster) Inch.

Friends and family are invited to the visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Niemond's Independent Church, 36964 Route 35, Richfield, followed by the funeral at 11 with Pastor Steve Osenga and Pastor J. Arthur Mott officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Freeburg.

Memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Steven to Niemond's Independent Church.
