Sarah E. Mohr, 95, of Potts Grove, formerly of Danville, went to be with her Lord on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at the Geisinger Medical Center.
She was born May 15, 1922, on the family farm in West Hemlock Township, a daughter of the late Joseph M. and Ida M. (Menges) Mohr.
Sarah attended Sheeps One Room School in West Hemlock Township until the eighth grade.
She worked on the family farm until 1943 when she went to work at Bloomsburg Mills where she was employed until her retirement in 1987.
She was a faithful member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Strawberry Ridge and a member of the Danville Women's Club.
Sarah especially enjoyed family gatherings, picnics, and traveling on bus trips with the former Rambler's Club. On quiet days she discovered a love for reading novels and doing word searches.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Bryon Mohr, Emma "Jenny" (Mohr) Foust, Dorothy (Mohr) Flora Billhime, Franklin Mohr, Hanna (Mohr) Lobach, Willard "Bud" Mohr Flora, and Grant Mohr.
In keeping with Sarah's wishes, a graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Turbotville Cemetery, 7 Church St., Turbotville, with Pastor Shawn McNett officiating.
Flowers will be provided by the family and contributions in her memory may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ/Strawberry Ridge, 850 Cardinal Road, Danville, PA 17821.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville.
