Sally I. Shade, 77, a resident of Oak Park, Northumberland, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2017, at Nottingham Village Nursing Center.
She was born Feb. 29, 1940, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late John F. and Martha M. (Conrad) Clark. On Aug. 13, 1960, she married Grant D. Shade Jr. who survives.
Mrs. Shade was a 1958 graduate of Sunbury High School. She was formerly employed by Wilson Manufacturing Company of Sunbury.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sunbury.
Sally was devoted to her family and she will be remembered by them as being a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She enjoyed shopping, was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting, and actively supported her church.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Steve Wiles, of Charleston, S.C. and Tracy and James Smith, of Northumberland; four grandchildren, Nicole Supsic, Taylor Smith and Michael and Sarah Wiles; one brother, John Clark, of South Williamsport; two sisters, Linda Matrey, of Northumberland and Cheryl Palm, of Allenwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church, 115 S. Fourth St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. with her pastor,the Rev. David Dressler officiating.
Burial will follow in the Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.

Funeral arrangements are by the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, Second and King streets, Northumberland.
