Ruth Ann Martin Ruth A. Martin, 82, of Milton, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, at the Watsontown Health and Rehabilitation.
She was born Dec. 31, 1936, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late William and Mae (Weidman) Hoster. She was married to Walter E. "Poopsie" Martin until his death in 1989.

Primarily a homemaker, she loved working as a crossing guard for South Williamsport School District.
She attended Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton.
Ruth loved dancing and had an infectious smile and laugh. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, and sewing dresses for her grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Donald E. Martin and his companion Deb McHenry of Bloomsburg, Debra Grow and her husband Russell of Milton, and Emory C. Martin and his wife Mary Jo of Allenwood; 11 grandchildren, Chad Martin, Corey Martin, Lyndi Hertzler, Joshua Grow, Justin Grow. Brandon Grow, Colby Grow, Hayley Martin, Jarrett Martin, Courtney Hass, and Brianna Berger; eight great-grandchildren, Isaiah Hertzler, Aubryana Hertzler, Oakley Grow, Carter Pilkerton, Cody McCormick, Lucas Berger, Adason Berger, Alexa Berger, Brody Haas and Avery Haas.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Lance C. Martin; one brother, Herbert Hoster; and one sister, Kathleen Smith.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery, with the Rev. Mike Sweigardofficiating.

Arrangements are under the care of the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton.
