Ronald's Story

Ronald Leonard Jacoby, 77, of 86 Jacoby Lane, Millmont, entered into rest at 1:54 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at RiverWoods, Lewisburg, where he had been a resident since July.
He was born March 5, 1940, in Ashland, a son of the late George H. "Pete" and Mary D. "Mae" (Dietz) Jacoby.

Ronald was a 1958 graduate of Coal Township High School. He served in the Army from May 1962 until his honorable discharge May 1965.
He was employed at Ceco Corporation/New Columbia Joist from Jan. 17, 1968 until he retired May 1, 2003.
He enjoyed playing golf, and having his weekly meetings with his lifelong friend at the many clubs where he was a member.
Ronald was a member of the Union County Sportsmen's Club, Weikert, the Mifflinburg American Legion Post 410, Mifflinburg V.F.W. Post 1964, Free and Accepted Masons, and a life member of the Forest Hill Fire Company, Coal Township, Union County West End Social Club, Danville Elks, and former president of the Union County West End Fire Company.

Surviving are one niece, Virginia Pawelczyk, of Shamokin; two nephews, Steve Jacoby and James Peter Jacoby, both of Shamokin; great-nieces and nephews, Veronica Yoder, Kenneth Pawelczyk, Cameron Jacoby, and Gabby Jacoby; stepson, William Ranchkoskie, of Mifflinburg; and many lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, George J. "Jim" Jacoby.

Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the Roupp Funeral Home Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, followed by a memorial service to celebrate the life of Ronald at 3, with the Rev. Richard VonNeida officiating.
