Roger K. Hoey


Roger K. Hoey, 73, of Milton, passed away on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019, at his home.
He was born Feb. 26, 1946, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Roy and Fern M. (Shellenberger) Hoey.

Roger was retired from New Columbia Joist after more than 40 years of service.
He was a member of the Moose and Eagle Lodges of Milton and a social member of the Lewisburg American Legion Post 182.
Roger was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing pool.

He is survived by one daughter, Alicia R. Showers of Watsontown; two stepsons, Matthew Kline of Bloomsburg and Ronald Kline of Lewisburg; three grandchildren, Chase Showers, and Carter and Jordan Easton; two brothers, Vaughn Hoey of New Columbia and Jon Hoey of Winfield; one sister, Karen Troutman of New Columbia; and seven nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by one son, David Keith Hoey who died Jan. 27, 1970.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Svc, PC, 124 Main St., Watsontown, followed by a celebration of life service at 7, with the Rev. Ricky Phillips officiating.
Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Roger's memory be made to a charity of one's choice.
