Robert "Harper" Trow Jr., 67, of Northumberland, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at his home of natural causes.
He was born May 27, 1950, in Danville, a son of the late Robert Harper Trow Sr., Muriel Carter Trow-Machmer, and stepfather, Fred Machmer, formerly of Selinsgrove.

Harper graduated from Selinsgrove High School with the class of 1968. He then went on to study at the University of Pittsburgh, where he received his bachelor of arts in political science.
After many years of service, he had recently retired from ACF Industries in Milton.
Harper was an avid hunter, long time member of the Norry Gun Club, and NRA. He was also a motor racing enthusiast, enjoyed current events, telling colorful jokes, and recently found joy in bird watching. Many will remember Harper for his spirit of generosity and willingness to help anyone in need.

Harper is survived by companion, Susan Pangburn; daughter, Caroline Trow; son, Robert Carter Trow, of Lewisburg; three grandchildren, Alexa, Lila, and Nico; sister, Megan Garcia, of Salem, Ore.; cousins, Maryon Beck, of Bridgewater, N.J., and Bernard Grube Beck Jr., of Denver, Colo.; long time friend, Linda Yankoskie, of Sunbury; stepchildren, JoLynn Yankoskie, Dee Yankoskie, Sam Lenker, Sandra Lenker, and Aaron Lenker; two nieces, Bevin Madigan, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Kirstin Madigan-Curtin, of Salem, Ore.

Onto Valhalla with the Vikings, Harper. You are missed by many dear friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, in the chapel in the Lewisburg Cemetery.
