Robert E. Neitz, 89, of Sodom Road, Milton, passed away on Nov. 8, 2017, at the home of his daughter.
He was born March 8, 1928, in Milton, a son of the late Grover and Maude (Reichenbach) Neitz. He was married to the former Charlotte Brouse who survives.
Robert was a 1946 graduate of Montandon High School and was a veteran of the Army serving from 1947-1955.
He was employed by Watsontown Cabinetry, Philco Ford, and Zenith, and retired from Danville Cabinet Works. During his retirement he worked at the Lewisburg Car Wash.
He was an active and faithful member of Dreisbach United Church of Christ where he taught Sunday school for 57 years, and a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Milton.
Robert liked to keep a vegetable garden and sell his vegetables at his home. He enjoyed singing and sang at over 35 weddings. He played softball and enjoyed sports, especially badminton with his family, and attending sporting events.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Jerry Wolfe, of Mifflinburg, Robin and Dale Fox, of Lewisburg, and Crystal and Bob Yoder, of Watsontown; one sister, Betty Jane Ficks, of New Columbia; and eight grandchildren, Brandon Bridge, Mark DeFord, Jillian Wyndings, Michael Elsayed, Kareem Elsayed, Nathan Fox, Carissa Bowersox, and Jessica Yoder.
Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, Orval and Richard; and seven sisters, Mildred, Polly, Arlene, Dorothy, Beatrice, Jean, and June Marie.
Friends and relatives will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Dreisbach United Church of Christ, 875 Dreisbach Church Road, Lewisburg, followed by the funeral at 11.
Burial with military honors will be in Dreisbach Church Cemetery.
