Robert Frederick "Skip" Linn, 84, of McClure, passed away on Sept. 17, 2017, in Tucker, Ga.
He was born May 27, 1933, in New Columbia, a son of the late Ralph and Mary (Weaver) Linn. He was married for 44 years to Sandra Laubach who preceded him in death in March 2001. Later that year, he married the former Betty Dorman who survives.
Robert attended Robins School, New Columbia and Montandon High School. He served in the Army from 1953-1955 as a medic and ambulance driver in Germany.
He was employed at Gunzey's Mobile and the Milton Standard. After 40 years, he retired from American Home Foods.
Bob enjoyed his coffee every morning, playing with his Chihuahua, Gigi, watching MASH on TV, and spending time with his family. He was a collector of Coke-a-Cola merchandise and Hess trucks.
Skip is survived by one sister, Lou Rearick; sons, Brian (Mindy) Zimmerman, Gearld Zimmerman; Mike Zimmerman, Roger (Julie) Zimmerman; daughters, Connie (Barry) Hauck, Jada Rupert, Linda (Gary) Brintzenhofe, Linda Zimmerman, Pamela (Keith) Pfleegor, and Tyteayanna Zimmerman; 29 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Lee Linn; one sister, Doris; one son, Ricky Zimmerman; and four grandchildren.
Services were held in Georgia.
