Robert M. "Bob" Klingler Sr., 87, of Selinsgrove, entered into rest on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at his home.
He was born June 12, 1930, in Selinsgrove, a son of the late Charles A. and Bertha M. (Bilger) Klingler.
Bob was a 1948 graduate of Selinsgrove High School.
He was a farmer all his life and was a rural letter carrier for 20 years until he retired in 1996.
He was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church, Selinsgrove Young Famers, and Pennsylvania Farm Bureau.
Bob enjoyed playing cards and square dancing with his friends and family. However, his true passion was farming. He loved to drive around beautiful Pennsylvania looking at crops and farming equipment.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Maxine A. (Dressler) Klingler; five children and their spouses, Connie and Mark Breneisen, Robert and Shelby Klingler, Donald and Diane Klingler, Douglas and Vickie Klingler, and Paula and Jeff Alba; 15 amazing grandchildren and 17 wonderful great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers, Ammon Klingler, Albert Klingler, Donald Klingler; one sister, Eleanor Lauver; and one granddaughter, Shannon Alba.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Salem Lutheran Church, 855 Salem Road, Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Kristina Schaeffer officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
