Robert L. "Pee Wee" Herrold, 81, of Port Trevorton, entered into rest on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, at The Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
He was born Nov. 11, 1937, in Port Trevorton, a son of the late Clarence and Eva (Reinard) Herrold. On Feb. 22, 1961, he married the former Barbara C. Heintzelman, who survives. The couple were married for 57 years at the time of his passing.

Robert was a 1956 graduate of Selinsgrove High School and was an Army veteran.
"Pee Wee" assisted with his families coal business and worked at Groce's Silk Mill and later for Max and Gary Charles as a coal dredger. He retired from Keller Marine after 31 years of service.
He was a life member of the Port Trevorton Fire Company and served on the St. John's Cemetery Association and was a Trustee at Snyder County Trust Company. Pee Wee was a member of Hope United Methodist Church, Port Trevorton.
Pee Wee loved the Susquehanna River and was able to build his own boats to fish and trap. He also hunted and enjoyed telling jokes. In his younger years, he played baseball.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his five children and their spouses, Robert Lynn Herrold, Keith Allen and Tammy Herrold, Karen and Mike Bressler, Penny and Allen Fry, and Matthew Carl Herrold; three grandchildren, Brandon Allen and Austin Todd Fry and Logan Hunter Herrold; one sister, Laura Barbara Swineford; one brother and sister-in-law, Eugene "Kell" and Roxanna Herrold; and many nieces and nephews.

Pee Wee was preceded in death by six brothers, Raymond, Edward, John, James, Joe, and Clarence Jr. Herrold; and one sister, Mary Brubaker.

Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, followed by the funeral at 11, with Pastor Michael S. Swimley officiating and Pastor Chad Herrold assisting.
Burial with full military honors accorded by the Selinsgrove American Legion Victory Post 25 and the Selinsgrove Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6631 will be in St. John's Cemetery, Port Trevorton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Pee Wee to a charity of the donor's choosing.
