Robert Theodore Fausey, 87, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at his home in Rockville, Md., after a brief illness.
Born in Bloomsburg, Pa., on Oct. 12, 1930, he was the son of the late Theodore Kenneth and Evelyn Burgess Fausey.
He was a 1948 graduate of Sunbury High School and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sunbury. After graduation, Robert spent the next four years in the U.S. Army, receiving an honorable discharge in 1952. Returning to civilian life, he worked a variety of jobs, most of which had to do with computers and programming.
In 1959, he married the late Doris Ann Harvey, the love of his life, who preceded him in death in 2016.
In 1961, he accepted a position with IBM, and they settled in Rockville, Md. Although Robert was a quiet man, and Doris was very friendly and outgoing, the two complimented each other well, which resulted in 57 very happy years together.
Surviving Robert are two brothers and one sister-in-law, Richard of Dahlgren, Va., and Thomas and Fern of Northumberland, Pa.; one sister, Mary of Lakeland, Fla.; six nieces; and two nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Pumphrey's Funeral Home in Rockville, Md.
