Robert Allen DeLancey, 81, of Carlisle, formerly of Kreamer, passed away Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at his home.
He was born Sept. 11, 1936, in New Kensington, a son of the late Charles and Mildred (Rexa) DeLancey and was the widower of Cindy (Dorman) DeLancey.
Robert graduated from Carlisle High School in 1954 where he played football, basketball and baseball. He attended Lycoming College in Williamsport.
He retired as a supervisor from Weis Markets in Milton.
Robert was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle and the Cumberland-Carlisle AARP #4377.
He is survived by his son, Chris (wife Becky) DeLancey, of Selinsgrove; a brother, C. Richard DeLancey; two sisters, Carol Kuntz-Wallick and Catherine Burkholder; many nieces and nephews; and his dear friend, Loretta Quinn.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Drive, Carlisle, with the Very Rev. William C. Forrey, V.F. as Celebrant. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the Mass.
Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family at the Globe Mills Cemetery, Kreamer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2040 Linglestown Road, Suite 104, Harrisburg, PA 17110, or to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 152 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle, PA 17013.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
