Robert "Flattop" Davis, 81, of 335 Vine St., Sunbury, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born Aug. 27 1936, in Danville, a son of the late Charles Daymon and Ethel (Share) Davis. On Oct. 13, 1956, he married the former Marilyn Dunham who survives. They celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Robert attended Danville schools.
He retired from Witmer Fuels, previously employed with EP Witmer, Royal Swan Trucking, and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He spent many years as member of the Sunbury Steam and Hookies fire companies, along with the Sunbury fire police.
Robert was a loving husband and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to the Goodwills and football games.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Maylee and John Rudy, of Sunbury, Linnetta and John Hartsworm, of Northumberland, Robbene and Carl Hovenstine, of Danville, and Adatha and Marlin Myers, Chambersburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Phyllis Davis, of Sunbury; grandchildren, Jessica Rupp, Jamie Brown, Carl Hovenstine, Charity Rudy, Brittany Snyder, Bryan, John, and Matt Gombert; and great-grandchildren, (his sidekick) Kayla, Josh, and Brandon Rudy, Paul Brown, Clayton Shiffer, Hailey, Gaje, and Farrah Gombert.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth, Charles and Thomas Davis; and three sisters, Alma "Pat" Doebler, Kathleen "Sis" Buck, and Marion St. Clair.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 2.
Interment will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.
