Richard M. Bickhart, 64, of Sunset Drive, Middleburg, passed away on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at his home.
He was born Dec. 25, 1953, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Paul and Mary (Benfer) Bickhart. On July 8, 1971, he married the former Dorothy A. Gilbert who survives.
Richard had attended West Snyder and Middleburg high schools.
He had been employed at Poloron Homes, Penn Lyon Homes, and retired in 2016 from Durabilt.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge 1229, Middleburg.
Richard enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, carpentry, and fixing anything. Family was the most important thing to Richard, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchild. He also enjoyed fishing trips with Martin and Donald "Duck". He will be remembered for being quick witted and making up funny words.
In addition to his wife of 46 years, he is survived by three children and their spouses, Kandi and Aaron Minium, and children, Alisha, Kacie, and Anthony, and great-granddaughter, Ahayla; Erica and Brian Knepp, and children, Ethan and Carter; and Dustin Bickhart and companion Jaime Maskell, and children, Emma and Haylee; one brother, Kevin Bickhart; and one sister, Joy "Sue" Bickhart Boreman.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Bickhart.
At Richard's request, there will be no services.
Private burial will be in the Troxelville Union Cemetery.
