Rebecca DeLaney Eisenhour Raup, 67, of Shamokin, went to be with the Lord on Thursday Jan. 11, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Aug. 25, 1950, in Rome, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Lewis James DeLaney and Mable Rebecca (Stroup) DeLaney.
Rebecca attended Shikellamy High School and graduated in 1968. She graduated from The Harrisburg Polyclinic Hospital School of Nursing on June 13, 1971. Rebecca was a registered nurse and retired in 2012. She lovingly cared for many people in many facets of nursing including nursing homes, rehab facilities and children's hospitals.
She was involved in sewing for local high school musicals and marching bands. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church.
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Stanley J. Raup, of Shamokin, whom she married in 2002; three daughters, Melissa J. Eisenhour and Ron Gosciminski Jr., of Coal Township, Jodi and Robert Dobson, of Trevorton, and Amy and Paul Sanders, of Coal Township, and their daughters, Kyra and Rylie; two stepchildren, Shelly and Jim Shoop, of Gratz, and their children, Alicia and Stacey Kerstetter and Justin Hopple, and Randy and Lori Raup, of Ashland, and their children, Ashley and Austin; four great-grandchildren, Bentley, Isaiah, Kye and Macy; one sister-in-law, Susan DeLaney, of Cumberland, Md.; one nephew, Phillip and Michelle DeLaney, of Louisville, Ky., and their children, Ryan, Alec and Brad; and her faithful companion, Buddy the dog. She is also survived by many loving friends and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Marc DeLaney.
Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Elysburg Presbyterian Church, 320 W. Valley Ave., Elysburg, where a memorial service will be held at noon with Pastor Matt Young officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Rebecca's memory to the VNA Home Health of Shamokin, 21 W. Independence St., Shamokin PA 17872, or a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
