Raymond N. Dock, 82, of Globe Mills Road, Middleburg, passed away on Thursday afternoon, Jan, 25, 2018, at his home.
He was born Sept. 27, 1935, in Franklin Township, Snyder County, a son of the late Nevin and Effie (Ulrich) Dock. On June 14, 1958, he married the former Erma F. Drumheller who survives.
Raymond attended the Freeburg High School and graduated in 1954 from Middleburg High School. Following graduation he was employed at Groce's Silk Mill and later in road construction, and retired after 37 years from Blough and Wagner Manufacturing.
He was of the Lutheran faith and a member of the Studebaker's Drivers Club for 47 years.
Raymond enjoyed automobiles, racing, and traveling.
In addition to his wife of 59 years, he is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Neil R. and Rachel Dock, of Selinsgrove, and Carl A. Dock, of Middleburg; one granddaughter, Samantha Dock; one brother, Richard Dock, of Sunbury; one sister, Marion "Peg" Parsons, of Virginia Beach, Va.; and his cat, Ally, who brought great comfort to him.
A viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg; followed by the funeral at 10, with Pastor Vickie Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Globe Mills Cemetery, Middleburg.
