Randall W. "Randy" Spriggle, 67, of Millerstown, went to be with his Lord on Friday, July 15, 2016, at the Harrisburg Hospital.
He was born July 26, 1948, in Snyder County, a son of the late Robert E. and Virginia K. (Hackenburg) Spriggle. On May 14, 1972, he married the former Susan Hahn who survives. His passing breaks a loving marital union of 44 years.
Randy was a 1966 graduate of Middleburg Joint High School and a 1968 graduate of Williamsport Area Community College, and furthered studied Electrical Engineering at Penn State, Harrisburg.
Randy retired August of 2012 after 41 years of service with PPL Electric Utilities, Newport.
He was a member of the Millerstown United Methodist Church, a member and Past Master in 1978 and secretary from 1984-1990 of Middleburg Lodge No. 619, F&A.M., Middleburg; a member of the Valley of Harrisburg Consistory AASR, and received his honorary 33rd Degree in the year 2000 in the City of Pittsburgh; and a member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Juniata Valley Forest #88. He also served as treasurer for Heartbeat Community Services Inc., Millerstown, and the Tuscarora Amateur Radio Club.
Randy loved his family and traveling. He also liked to hunt and direct and act in theater productions.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Nicole S. and John W. McTernan, of Kingwood, Texas, and Brittany A. and Steven D. Howell, of Millerstown; three granddaughters, Molly McTernan, Annie, and Eliza; one brother, Tedd Spriggle, of Beaver Springs; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Nick Lesher, of Sunbury; and nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday with a Masonic memorial service at 10:45, followed by the funeral at 11, at the Millerstown United Methodist Church, 23 N. High St., Millerstown, with the Rev. Cecily Eisley officiating.
Burial will be private in the Richfield Union Cemetery.
