Randall J. "Randy" Seidel Sr., 65, of Front Street, Washingtonville, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2016, at his camper in Cooper Township.
He was born Aug. 23, 1950, in Danville, a son of the late Herman and Alberta (Day) Seidel. He was married for 50 years to the former Patricia "Pat" Speck who survives.
Randy was a 1968 graduate of Danville Area High School.
He was a lineman for PPL and retired in 2007 after 37 years of service.
Randy loved camping, was a devoted woodworker, carpenter, and auto mechanic. His hobbies also included electronics and following the Philadelphia Phillies.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Rod and Danielle, of Danville, Randy Jr. and Kathy, of Northumberland, and Jason and Michelle, of Danville; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Jonathan Sharpe, of Danville; five grandchildren, Tyler, Nick, Nathan, Connor, and Sydney; one brother, Richard, of Danville; and four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Vera Fleming, of Washingtonville, Nancy and Clair Stump, of Danville, Julia and Michael Enright, of Danville, and Sharon Foust, of Milton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Connie Shoop, and one brother, Herman Seidel.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Brady Funeral Home, 320 Church St., Danville, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Melody Sell of Washingtonville Lutheran Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in Washingtonville Lutheran Cemetery.
