Randall P. "Randy" Roush, 69, of Liverpool, entered into rest on Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, at his home.
He was born Jan. 31, 1948, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Palmer and Mabel (Wilt) Roush. He was married to the former Frances L. Heckman who survives. His passing breaks a marital union of 47 years.
Randy was a 1965 graduate of Selinsgrove High School and a Marine Corps veteran. He served 13 months in Vietnam and the remainder of his service was at Paris Island, S.C., as a military policeman. Randy was honorably discharged on Feb. 17, 1972, with the rank of Corporal and received several medals.
He was employed by Swank & Son, Danville, where he was a service technician.
In addition to his wife Frances, Randy is survived by two children, Jeffrey Roush, of Enola and Jennifer Mitchell and her husband Michael, of Kreamer; two grandchildren, Katelyn Bauman and Michael Mitchell Jr.; one brother, Steve Roush; one sister, Betty Jane Teats; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his life long friend and Marine Corps brother, Robert Frymoyer, of Kratzerville.
Randy was preceded in death by his son, Randall Roush Jr.
Respecting Randy's wishes, there will be no viewing or services.
On behalf of his family, he wanted to thank the Mennonite Community, the VA Medical Center, Lebanon, American Home Medical, and Compassionate Care Hospice for the support shown to him and his family during his courageous battle with cancer.
The George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills is assisting the family with the arrangements.
