Porter's Story

Porter Duquette Ellis, 84, of Pawleys Island, S.C., passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at his home.
He was born in Kenmore, N.Y., a son of the late Margaret and Noyes Ellis.

Porter loved to play golf and dine out. He also enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Jane M. Ellis, of Pawleys Island; children, David Ellis, of North Myrtle Beach, Michael Ellis, of Pennsylvania, Jane Moser-Gonzalez and her husband Luis, and John Waldron and his wife Amy, all of Milton, Pa.; grandchildren, Madison, Ben, Katie, Elaine, Carmen, Michael, Marissa, Fernando, Evan, Emily, and Lauren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sally; and his grandson, Alex Moser.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2017, at Precious Blood Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Porter's memory be made to the Alex Moser Memorial Scholarship, c/o West Milton State Bank, 940 High St., West Milton, PA 17886.
