Pauline Steffen, 91, formerly of Centennial Road, Mifflinburg, passed away at 1 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.
She was born July 25, 1926, in Center Township, Snyder County a daughter of the late Ralph J. and Lucille J. (Lynn) Schell. She was married to Elmer J. Steffen who preceded her in death in 1997.
Pauline attended the Hillside Bible Church, Mifflinburg and had been active in the Laurelton and Penns Creek Senior Centers.
She enjoyed playing bingo and dominoes.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Sarah Smith and Mary and Romain Dorman, all of Mifflinburg; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Violet Hummel, of Penns Creek.
She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Marlin Smith Jr.; and one son, John Steffen in infancy; four brothers, Raymond, George, Ralph, and Charles Schell; and four sisters, Marie Kratzer, Helen Schell, Bertha Newcomer, and Ethel Schell.
Visitors will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, followed by the funeral at 2, with Pastor Harley Yoder officiating.
Burial will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
The family will provide flowers. Contributions to honor Pauline's memory may be made to the Penns Creek Senior Center.
