Patricia Lynn "Pattie" Petty, 48, of Berwick, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, in the emergency room at the Berwick Hospital Center.
She was born Dec. 17, 1968, in Hanover Township, a daughter of Edward Salsavage and the late Frances (Suhena) Salsavage.
Pattie was a 1987 graduate of Hanover Area High School.
While in high school, she worked at Boscov's department store. She also worked at Sam's Club, Dalo's Bakery, and most recently as a teacher's aide at the Berwick Area Middle School.
Pattie was an avid baker who loved sharing cookies, pastries, and other treats with her friends, family, and co-workers. Additionally, she enjoyed arts and crafts, time spent working in the yard, planting her annual flowers that adorned her porch front, and tending to her pets including goats, Darrel and Daphne, and pug, Jackson. A devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Pattie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving Pattie is her loving husband of 21 years, Vernon V. Petty; one son, Chase V. Petty and daughter, Shea L. Petty, both at home; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandy and Mike Pasternick and Carol and Mark Holvey, all of Hanover Township; and one brother, Edward Salsavage Jr., of Ashley.
In addition to her mother, Pattie was preceded in death by her pug, Gomer.
Pattie's funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kelchner-McMichael-Baker Funeral Home, 119-121 E. Third St., Berwick, with Father Dennis Dalessandro of St. Joseph's Church officiating. All are welcome to join Pattie's family at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
