Patricia Hetzendorf, 76, of Snydertown, passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at ManorCare, Sunbury, after a short illness.
She was born May 29, 1941, in Shamokin State General Hospital, a daughter of the late Venzel "Ben" and Anna (Smallets) Hetzendorf.
She was a 1959 graduate of the former Sunbury High School, and was a 1962 graduate of Bloomsburg State Teachers College.
Pat was an elementary school teacher in the Selinsgrove School District until her retirement in 1997.
She was a member of Transfiguration Ukrainian Catholic Church, Shamokin.
Pat enjoyed quilting, crafts, tending to her flowers, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include two brothers, Robert Hetzendorf, of Snydertown, and Venzel "Bud" Hetzendorf and his wife Kathy Diane, of Sunbury; two nieces, Angela Hetzendorf, of Selinsgrove, and Patti Jo Yeager and her husband Jason, of Paxinos; a great niece, Abby Hetzendorf, of Selinsgrove; two aunts, Mary DePallo, of Danville, and Clara Smallets, of Laurel, Md.; and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Shane Hetzendorf.
A viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, in the Stephen A. Chowka Funeral Home, 114 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin.
Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 11a.m. Wednesday, in Transfiguration Ukrainian Catholic Church, Shamokin, with Rev. Mykola Ivanov as celebrant.
Interment will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
