Patricia Tinney Fisher "Pat", 84, of Lewisburg, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 4, 2017, at the Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg. The visitation will be on Tuesday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m., at Chillisquaque Presbyterian Church in Potts Grove. Funeral to follow visitation at the church with Pastor Charles W. North IV officiating.
Patricia Fisher was born in Pen Argyl, Pa. to Jonathan "Jack" and Laura S. Tinney on March 6, 1933. She attended Pen Argyl High School and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bucknell University, the only female in a class of chemistry graduates. On Dec. 26. 1995, she married Walter J. Fisher at Faith United Presbyterian Church. Before moving to Pennsylvania, she worked as a chemist at Union Carbide and then St. Peters Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J. for 12 years. She actively supported the League of Women Voters throughout her life, and was an active member of her church.
Pat was known for being a loving mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Laura Tinney; and her husband, Walter J. Fisher. She is survived by her two daughters, Darinda Fisher and Ardis Fisher Simonson (Carl); and four grandchildren, Jeremy, Matthew, Timothy and Ryan Simonson.
In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to the Chillisquaque Presbyterian Church.
