Norma C. Slodysko, 96, of 901 W. Market Street, Trevorton, went to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at Mount Carmel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 21, 1921, in Shamokin, a daughter of the late Gordon C. and N. Mae (Fox) Kuhns.
Norma was married to Leon Slodysko who preceded her in death in 1971.
She was a life long resident of Trevorton and a 1938 graduate of Trevorton High School.
She retired as a teacher's aide from the Line Mountain School District.
Norma was an active member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Trevorton, and a member of the Trevorton Senior Action Center, the Trevorton Patsies, and the Line Mountain Arts and Humanities.
Survivors are one son, Gordon A Slodysko, of Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren and their spouses, Jamie and Joan Gasiewski, of Dalmatia, Barry and Celestia Gasiewski, of Florida, and Deena and Kerry Lesher, of Trevorton; eight great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, M. Diane Gasiewski.
A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 603 W. Market St., Trevorton, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Frederick Faust, officiating.
Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are by the Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton.
