Nicholas Sedor Jr., 68, of 1015 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, passed away Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at Geisinger-Shamokin A.C.H., Coal Township. He was in ill health this past year.
He was born Dec. 26, 1948, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Nicholas and Caroline (Breech) Sedor. On April 23, 1988, he married the former Darlene M. Brovey who survives.
Nick was a resident of Trevorton the past 35 years. He was a 1966 graduate of Southern Columbia Area High School and served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He retired as a mechanic from ConRail Railroad.
Nick was a member of Trevorton American Legion Post 92 and an active member of Trevorton VFW Post 7813 where he held several offices over the years.
Nick enjoyed hunting and playing in a pool league.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Brandy Long and husband Bruce of Dalmatia, and Tracy Livingston, of Coal Township; one son, Mike Sedor, of Trevorton; eight grandchild; one great-grandchildren; two sisters, Theresa Zigarski, of Hazleton, Kathryn Gehers and husband Dale, of Hazleton; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son, Nicholas Sedor III; and one grandson, Ian Latsha.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, where the funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, with Pastor Keith Bunch officiating.
Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
