Nancy Lou Senoski Rocuba

After a courageous battle with cancer, Nancy Lou (Herman) Senoski Rocuba, 88, lay down her mortal burdens to join the Lord and her beloved mother and father in Heaven on Monday, June 10, 2019. She previously fought and defeated cancer twice, in 1983 and again in 1990, but this third war with the cruel disease proved to be more than she could endure. A resident of Sunbury, she was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing, at the conclusion of a brief stay at Nottingham Village Nursing Home.

Nancy was born Aug. 2, 1930, in Sunbury, the daughter and only child of William Charles and Carrie Ardella (Vonada) Herman.

She attended Sunbury schools, and at the age of 22, she married Jerome M. Senoski on June 27, 1953. He preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1979.

Nancy worked various jobs in the Sunbury area throughout her life, including Westinghouse, Nightcraft, Protection Equipment, Forgflo, Butterkrust Bakery, Sunbury Community Hospital, and the County of Northumberland. In her earlier years, she enjoyed baking, crafting, and shopping, and was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved to care for and spend time with her family, of which she was extremely proud.

Nancy is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Deb and John Klinger of Sunbury, Cindy Stroup of Sunbury, and Sherri and Jonathan Maneval of Northumberland; six grandchildren, John Jr., Brandon, and Kristin Klinger, and Dakota, Tanner and Channing Maneval; and seven great-grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, Juliann and Ashton Klinger, and Peyton, Pyper and Paisley Grose.

In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Bruno F. Rocuba, and son-in-law, Steven R. Stroup.

Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, June 14, at St. Monica Catholic Church, Market Street, Sunbury, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11.
Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Nancy's memory to Evangelical Hospice of Lewisburg, whose staff provided extraordinary care and support in her final months of life, or to Saint Monica Catholic Church of Sunbury.

Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury.
