Nancy's Story

Nancy Eileen (Klinger) Moore, of Black's Lane, West Cameron Township, went home to be with her Lord on June 22, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Trevorton on March 18, 1939, she was the daughter of Thomas and Beulah (Bartholomew) Klinger.

Mrs. Moore attended Trevorton High School. She was proud to receive her diploma from Line Mountain High School in 1993 at the same time as her 9th child, David.

Mrs. Moore was married on Feb.23, 1957 at Bethel Union Chapel in West Cameron Township, to William Moore, who preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2008. She attended God's Missionary Church before her illness.

Mrs. Moore worked outside her home occasionally during the early years of her marriage. She practiced Reflexology for many years because of her desire to help people. After raising all her own children, she also did foster care for many children. Her greatest joys in life were her Lord, her family, and helping others. She loved playing her piano and her guitar and singing. Many times through the years she sang in church services with her daughters. She also loved crocheting, quilting, reading, and telling stories to her grandchildren. Every Christmas she would crochet little stocking ornaments for everyone in her immediate family of over 100! She was a wonderful mother, grandma, and great-grandma to all of them.

Mrs. Moore's greatest desire was for all her family to meet her in Heaven someday! She is survived by her 11 children: Terry and Tim Lutz, Lisa and Jim Runyon, Bill, Jr. and Ann Moore, Lori and Mike Scopelliti, Tracy and Paul Smink, Michael and Lori Moore, Andrew Moore, Thomas and Ange Moore, David and Carrie Moore, Matthew and Deann Moore, and Elizabeth and Gabriel Morley; her grandchildren: Amanda (Lutz) Kuhns, Alissa (Lutz) Snook, Alana (Lutz) Snook, Alicia and Heather Lutz, Katie, Jordan, and Jayden Runyon, Keith Moore, Amy (Moore) Hauck, Jessica (Moore) Woodard, Kelly (Moore) Snyder, Andrea (Scopelliti) Straight, Jill (Scopelliti) Susan, Lindsey (Scopelliti) Shipton, Michael Scopelliti, Holly (Smink) Bobkoskie, Jared, Brandon, Abigail, and Abriana Smink, Mike, Jr, and Joshua Moore, Andrew, Jr. and Christopher Moore, Dalton and Tommy Moore, DJ, Jeriko, and Gabriella Moore, Morgan, Jason, and Waylon Moore, Andrea, Bethany, Carrie, Gabriel, Jr., Danny, Brynn, and Benjamin Morley. Her great-grandchildren: Brady and Holden Kuhns, Timmy, Logan, Tucker, Lane, and Owen Snook, Jordan, Allison, Jamie, Addison, and Jake Snook, Kiara and Kayla Moore, Cole and Cameron Hauck, Mya and Joelle Woodard, Benjamin Snyder, Jeffrey, Jayden, and Jason Straight, Eric, Jr., Collin, Blaine, and Aliyah Susan, Alexis, Taylor, and Slaton Shipton, Cristina and Braden Scopelliti, Madison, Mikey, Ryker, and Joseph Bobkoskie, Jaelyn Smink, Jaycee Moore, Carson and Ava Moore. She also had a special place in her heart for the current foster children some of her children foster: Sabrina, Samantha, Kiana, Tatyana, Danielle, Samuel, and Elijah and for the hundreds of children she was a foster grandma. Mrs. Moore is also survived by her brother Tom and Shirl Klinger, and five sisters, Frances Kerstetter, Connie and Paul Long, Dianne and John Yocum, Michelle and Paul Bohner, and Ann and Darold Sturm; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Sunbury God's Missionary Church, 820 Susquehanna Ave., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, West Cameron Township.
