Nancy Hutchins, 79, of Millersburg, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, at home surrounded by family.
Born on Feb. 21, 1939, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Connie McCauley.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 58 years, James Hutchins, of Millersburg; and her five children, Bill (Carol), Julie Hoffman (Dale), Mike (Michele), Holly Etzweiler (Mark), and Jennifer Towery (David); grandchildren, Natalie, Sharon, Greg (Kristin), Clayton, Leslie, Allison, Erin, Jessica, Jenna, James and Daniel, and great-grandchildren, Coralie, Claire and Addie. She is also survived by a brother, Michael McCauley (Germaine); and a sister, Elaine Letts (Albert).
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua.
Nancy was a graduate of the Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, and worked as a registered nurse for more than 20 years. In addition to working as a nurse, she was a long time dental assistant for Dr. David Russell in Millersburg. Nancy was one of the founders of the Millersburg Nursery School. Her interests included bowling, gardening and cooking for her family. She was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 12, at Trinity UCC in Millersburg, followed by the funeral service at 11.
Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or any local SPCA.
