Myrtle I. Sanzotto 99, of Selinsgrove, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 3, 1917, in Shamokin, a daughter of the late Raymond and Anna Nuss.
Myrtle along with her husband Francis W. Sanzotto, who preceded her in death, September 6, 1989, owned and operated the Shamokin Cycle Shop for more than 50 years.
Myrtle enjoyed cooking, embroidery and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph R. and Emily Sanzotto, of Shamokin; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl A. and Thomas Badman, of Selinsgrove; 10 grandchildren and their spouses, Tommy A. Badman who cared for Mrytle at her home for more than 25 years, Todd A. and Stephanie Badman, Timothy A. Badman, and Tony A. and Kira Badman, all of Selinsgrove, Tara A. and Chad Leisenring, of Overlook, Troy A. and Emily Badman, of Winchester, Va., Lisa M. and Mitch Laskoskie, of Sunbury, Frank L. and Jeanie Sanzotto, of Elysburg, Joseph E. and Meechele Sanzotto, of Sunbury, and Angie and Ken Hausman, of Shamokin; 13 great-grandchildren, Coy, Kerstyn, Cael, Sage, Claire, Isabelle, Olivia, Joey, Roman, Billy, Mitch, Justin and Frankie; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her son, Francis L. Sanzotto; three brothers, Harold, Lewis and Raymond Nuss; and two sisters, Gertrude Berbert and Ruth Bressler.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Shreiner's Cemetery, Selinsgrove, with Chaplain Carrie Stine officiating.
Arrangements are by the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove.
