Myrtle Alice Heiser, 94, of Selinsgrove, formerly of Mount Pleasant Mills, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at The Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
She was born March 8, 1923, in Selinsgrove, a daughter of the late Oscar and Jesse (Minium) Hoffman. She was married to Clyde "Bud" H. Heiser who preceded her.
Myrtle was employed at Spruce Manufacturing, Sunbury, Kinney Shoe factory, Beavertown, Eileen Hope Dress factory, Liverpool, Champ Hats, Sunbury, and retired from David Knit, Northumberland.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Mount Pleasant Mills.
Myrtle enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing.
She is survived by one granddaughter, Heather N. Beiter and her husband, Ben, of Clarksburg, Md.; two great-granddaughters, Eleanor and Zoe Beiter; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy A. Heiser; four brothers, Leon, Woodrow, Orville, and Warren Hoffman; and one sister, Kathryn Savidge.
Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, followed by the funeral at 2, with the Rev. Lisa Barnes officiating.
Burial will be in St. John Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills.
