Myron E. Walker, 93, of Elkhart, Ind., formerly of Watsontown, Pa., passed to his rest on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at his home.
He was born Sept. 23, 1924, in Watsontown, the 10th child of the late Martin L. and Bessie M. (Springer) Walker. He married the former Dorothy Ann Galer on April 30, 1945 in Mifflinburg, Pa. Dorothy died on Jan. 8, 2010, after 65 wonderful years of marriage.
Myron was a 1942 graduate of the Watsontown High School.
He was the owner and operator along with his wife of the Popcorn Shop at the Pierre Moran Mall, Ind. from 1984 until 1989. He then worked for Walmart as a greeter at the County Road 6 store, Indiana, for 17 years, retiring in 2008. When living in Pennsylvania, he was co-owner of the Day Star Restaurant in Watsontown.
Myron was a member of the Elkhart Moose Lodge #599.
Surviving is one son, Alan E. Walker, of Elkhart, Ind.; one daughter, Kay I. Hoffman, of Lewisburg, Pa.; four grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Myron was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and four sisters.
No local services are planned.
A private burial will be held in Watsontown Cemetery.
