Myron's Story

Myron "Mick" Schnure Sampsell, 97, formerly of Laurelton, entered into rest at 9:44 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
He was born June 18, 1920, a son of the late Harry and Frances (Schnure) Sampsell. On Oct. 11, 1941, in Winchester, Va., he married the former Phoebe Beach who preceded him in death on March 16, 2010.

Mick attended school in Laurelton and served in the Air Force from 1944 until his honorable discharge in 1947.
Mick was a self-employed welder.
He was a member of the Christ's United Lutheran Church, Millmont.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Carole Sampsell, of Camillus, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna R. Casey; and three brothers, Harold "Hap", Carl "Bup", and David "Nut" Sampsell.

Family and friends are welcome from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Christ's United Lutheran Church, 13765 Old Turnpike Road, Millmont, followed by the funeral at 1, with the Rev. John Yost officiating.
Burial will be in Hartleton Cemetery.
