Michael "Mike" Andrew Wetzel, 50, of 11585 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 12:01 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born April 27, 1967, in Lewisburg, a son of Donald M. Wetzel Jr., of Mifflinburg, and the late Charlene (Bowersox) Wetzel. On Oct. 21, 1986, he married the former Christine L. Stahl, who survives.
Mike attended Mifflinburg Area High School.
He was employed at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, for the past five years as a phlebotomist. Mike also worked at Ritz Craft, Mifflinburg, Yorktown, Mifflinburg, Lloyd's Construction, Lewisburg, Paul Stine Chevrolet, Selinsgrove, and Phillips Industries, Selinsgrove.
Mike was a member of the Sunken Treasure Scuba Center, Lock Haven.
He enjoyed sky diving, scuba diving, fishing, renovating, and family activities.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 30 years, and his father, are two daughters, Kimberly Wetzel and her wife Jamie Sheesley, of Selinsgrove, and Heather Wetzel, of Mifflinburg; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Donald M. III and Jerri Wetzel, of Chesapeake, Va., Shawn Bingaman and his companion Angela Derr, of Shamokin Dam, and Chad and Udele Bingaman, of McClure; one sister and brother-in-law, Michele and Will Maxfield, of Mifflinburg; and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome to a celebration of Mike's life at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, at the Carriage Corner Restaurant, 257 E. Chestnut St., Mifflinburg.
