Michael "Dean" Roth, 93, of 875 Montour Boulevard, Danville, died on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Columbia Montour Hospice at Maria Hall, Danville.

He was born Jan. 17, 1923, in Shamokin, a son of the late Frank and Mary (McBride) Roth.

Dean served in the Army Air Corps during World War II from 1942-1945. He was a Prudential Insurance salesperson for 24 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anne (Landy) Roth; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Anne and Cort Vitty, of Davidsonville, Md., and Caroline Roth, of Mouth Carmel; and one sister, Mary Baceski.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Roth; and two sisters; Edna Golden and Katherine Brennan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 18 Center St., Danville, with the Rev. James E. Lease as celebrant. Those attending Mass are asked to meet at the church at 10:45 a.m. There will not be a visitation. Burial of his cremains will follow Mass in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.

The family requests charitable contributions be made to Columbia Montour Hospice, 410 Glen Ave., Bloomsburg, PA 17815.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to James Kelley Funeral Home, 1001-1005 W. Arch Street at Maple Street, Coal Township.
