Maude B. Harpster, 97, of Milton, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at the Milton Nursing and Rehab Center.
Born in Lock Haven on July 7, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Helen (Barber) Brown. She was married to Warren Edward "Jake" Harpster for 47 years until his death in 1987.
Maude was a 1938 graduate of Milton High School. She had worked for American Home Foods retiring in 1985.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Milton, where she served on the Alter Guild. She was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed playing bridge with friends, traveling to the beach and bus trips with friends.
She is survived by a son, Warren Edward Harpster Jr., of Milton; a daughter, Linda Harpster Burger, of New Freedom; four grandchildren, Theresa Harpster, of Scarsdale, N.Y., Lawrence Harpster, of Lake Milton, Ohio, Angela L. Vantassel, of New Freedom, and Matthew R. Burger, of Portland, Ore.; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
