Mary E. Seiler, 96, of Shamokin Dam, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2018, at her home.
Mary Edith Seiler was born Oct 26, 1921, in Frederick, Md., a daughter of the late Lester and Rebecca Morsell Mainhart. On Jan. 20,1944, she married Roland Y. Seiler who preceded her on Feb. 14, 1983.
Mary graduated from Frederick High School and Hagerstown Business College.
She assisted her husband earlier in their business, Susquehanna Valley Homes. She worked many years part time for Temple Products, retiring in 2012.
She was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church.
Mary and her husband enjoyed many years traveling throughout the United States in their motor home visiting family and friends.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Ron Stuck, Sue and Tom Beachell; known as nana by her grandchildren, Lori and Travis Cornell, Ronda and Bryan Hovancik; great-grandchildren, Jared, Jakob, Kianna, Blake and Brynn; sister, Virginia Burall; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Howard, Lester Jr. and Robert Mainhart.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Sharon Lutheran Church, 120 S. Market St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Robert P. Doll officiating.
Burial will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
The family would like to express special thanks to Lori Cornell, Glenda Lauver and the Geisinger Home Health & Hospice staff for their compassionate care during the past year.
