Martha Ruth Dunkelberger Martha Ruth Dunkelberger, 88, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018.
She was born Feb. 22, 1930, in Dalmatia, Pa., a daughter of the late Franklin and Mary Ellen (Rebuck) Heller.

Martha was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling, playing games, and cooking. However, most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by four children, Gary Dunkelberger, Elaine McFarland (Keith), Cynthia Lindsay (Tom), and Audrey Bodkin (Doug); five grandchildren, Rebecca Mitchell, Andrew McFarland, Sarah Myers, Laura Lindsay, and Phillip Bodkin; three great-grandchildren, Hannah Kelly, Alexandra Myers, and Nathan Myers; one sister-in-law, Joyce Paul; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Blair Dunkelberger, two sisters, Shirley Billow and Naomi Lenig; and one brother, Irvin Heller.
Family and friends are welcomed for a visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, Md. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Himmel Church, 1941 Schwaben Creek Road, Rebuck, Pa.
Burial will follow in Himmel Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Martha's memory may be made to Doey's House, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21740, or Washington County Free Library, 100 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.

So sorry to hear about your mother’s passing, keep your memories close to find your peace. She looked so much like Gramma Helller, and actually it was what drew me to the picture. Unfortunately, Craig passed in June. Tim and Zax are both married and Tim has one daughter..Both live in Milton.
