Marlin R. Knopick, 76, of Front Street, Sunbury, passed away Nov. 12, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born May 1, 1941, in Sunbury, a son of the late Richard A. and Dorothy A. (Price) Knopick. On March 14, 1958, he married the former Sandra Lou Carl who passed in 1996.
Marlin attended Sunbury schools.
He was employed by Paulsen Wire Rope for nearly his entire career.
Marlin was a life member of the Friendship Hose Company, a good cook and Phillies fan. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, slow pitch softball, and was active with the CB radio.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindi Sue and Harold Cashner, of Middleburg, and Marla K. and William Hunter, of Sunbury; four grandchildren, Kimberly J. Gilligbauer, Jennifer J. Cashner, Amanda M. Hunter and Nicole A. Hunter; and five great-grandchildren, Joesph, Adam, Mary, Josiah and Chase.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Friends and family may visit from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury, followed by a memorial service at 7:30, with staff pastor Kurt Francis officiating.
