Marion A. Hackenberg, 93, of Beavertown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at her home.
She was born March 10, 1924, in Penns Creek, a daughter of the late Arthur E. and Bertha M. (Grubb) Tittle. She was married to William H. Hackenberg who preceded her in death on June 22, 2016.
Earlier in life, Marion assisted her husband in running Hackenberg's Jewelry Store, and later retired from the Selinsgrove Center.
Marion was a faithful member of St. Paul's Reformed Church, Beavertown, and the Polly Anna Sunday School class. She was a member of the Beavertown Rescue Hose Company Ladies' Auxiliary.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Willis E. and Jacqueline Hackenberg, of Beavertown; one daughter and son-in-law, Pamela A. and Stan Shaffer, of Middleburg; five grandchildren, Cole Hoffen, of Gettysburg, Steven Hackenberg, of South Carolina, Matthew Hackenberg, of Mechanicsburg, Cam Shaffer, of Middleburg, and Jenise Hoffman, of Richfield; nine great-grandchildren, Cassandra and Caitlin Probst, Eirian and Kylie Hackenberg, Gradie, Cali and McCormick Shaffer, Banks and Drue Hoffman.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Terry L. in infancy and Robert J. in 1989; two sisters, Phyllis Tittle and Arla R. Kuhns; two brothers, Orval G. Tittle and Maynard G. Tittle.
The family wishes to thank Marion's caregivers for their services, and Geisinger Hospice for their professionalism and assistance in her care.
Friends and family will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Carl H. Bergerson officiating.
Burial will follow in Penns Creek Union Cemetery.
