Marion L. "Mary Lou" Dooley, 87, of Sunbury, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at the Golden Living Center-Mansion, Sunbury.
On Oct. 10, 1945, she married Edward E. Dooley Sr. who preceded her in death on June 13, 1998.
Mary Lou attended Sunbury High School.
She was last employed at the Mansion Nursing Home in Sunbury as a certified nursing assistant.
She was a member of Saint Monica Catholic Church, Sunbury, and a past member of the L.O.O.M Auxiliary.
Mary Lou played on local dart teams and her favorite past times were playing bingo, pinochle, and bus trips to Atlantic City.
Mary Lou is survived by her five children and their spouses, Edward Jr. and Cindy, Patricia Costa, Kathaleen and David Persing, Craig and and Cynthia, and Steve and Kim; grandchildren, Patty, Annie, S. John Jr., Margaret, Kathleen, Lisa, David, Christopher, Jamie, Kerri, Laura, Matt and Erin; great-grandchildren, Erica, Sara , Noah, Christian, Steven, Shannon, Alison, Daniel, Michael, Jack Henry, Brianne, Sarah, Hannah, Lily, Peyton, Ian, Carson, Gabriel, Issac, and Bryce; great-great-grandchildren, Bryleigh; two sisters, Patricia Powell, of Florida and Martha Wilson, of California.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Scott in 1990; one son-in-law, Sherino Costa in 2008; and five brothers.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St. Sunbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Monica Church, Sunbury.
Interment will follow in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.
