Marian I. Schilling


Marian Isabelle Schilling, 98, formerly of McClure, Pa., passed away at 12:04 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2019, in Findlay, Ohio.
She was born April 3, 1921, in Richfield, a daughter of the late Edward Berry and Dora Catherine (Snook) Shive. On Aug. 31, 1940, she married the late Mahlon Kyle Schilling who preceded her in death on March 31, 1972.

Marian previously worked as a laboratory technician for Penn State University and later worked as a laboratory technician for seven years at Kirby Manufacturing, McClure, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of Mount Bethel Church, McClure where she participated in Pollyanna Class and earlier in life taught the kindergarten Sunday school class.
In her spare time she enjoyed doing puzzles, playing cards, oil painting and sewing.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kyle E. and Geraldine Schilling of Fort Valley, Va., and David A. and Carmel Schilling of Findlay, Ohio; three grandchildren, Robyn Colosimo, Kyle Schilling Jr. and Nicole Roach; five great-grandchildren, Courtney Colosimo, Ava Roach, Reese Schilling, Riley Schilling and Walker Roach; and one sister, Lucille Klingler of McClure.
She was preceded in death by one brother, John Shive; and her companion, Samuel Bubb.

Friends and family will be received from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Mount Bethel Church, McClure, followed by the funeral at 12:30, with the Rev. Robert Nash officiating.
Burial will follow in the McClure Union Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown.
