Marguerite V. Petro, 98, a former resident of Paxinos, passed away on Monday, Aug. 19, 2019, at Frey Village, Middletown.
She was born Dec. 10, 1920, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late George and Edna (Drumm) Eyster. She was married to Lawrence Petro who preceded her in death in 1989.

Marguerite was a 1940 graduate of Sunbury High School.
She was formerly employed by the Arrow Shirt Company, Shamokin, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Elysburg.
Marguerite enjoyed cooking and canning.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Carole Petro of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and John McAnnaney of Middletown; four grandchildren, Robert Petro, Debra Camperale, Stacey Schutte and Kelly McAnnaney; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 12 siblings.

A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at the First Presbyterian Church, Elysburg, followed by the funeral at 11.
Interment will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. A luncheon will follow at the Wayside Inn, Paxinos.

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations to the First Presbyterian Church, Elysburg or the Evangelical Church of the Good Shepard, Middletown.

Arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
