M. Lorraine Kratzer, 84, of GraysonView, Selinsgrove, passed away there on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019. She had resided at GraysonView since 2011.
She was born Dec. 15, 1934, in Port Trevorton, a daughter of the late Virginia L. (Drumheller) Ferry and Robert Benner. She was married to Russell W. Goodling who preceded her in death in 1985. In 2000, she married Gene S. Kratzer who died in 2009.
Lorraine was a 1952 graduate of Greenwood High School.
She had been employed at the Snyder Nursing Home, Middleburg and Penn Lutheran Village, Selinsgrove. Most of her working life was spent in food service at the Dutch Pantry and Gary's Farm House, Selinsgrove.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
Lorraine was a Penn State fan but most of all she enjoyed life and her family.
She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Sheree and Ottis Swope and Torre Downs; two sons, Russell Goodling and James Goodling; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Dressler and Barbara Reeder.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Ted Ferry.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. William D. Jones officiating.
Private burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, Middleburg.
Contributions in Lorraine's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
